A new campaign has emerged in the wake of a US court ruling that it is illegal to sell fake Viagra without a prescription.
The case was brought by a US citizen, who was found guilty of making a false claim on Viagra and was sentenced to four years in prison for the case, a federal judge said.
Viagra is a brand-name drug that helps men to achieve and maintain an erection by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow into the penis, and providing a firmer erection.
In the case, Judge David G. Rosen of the US Food and Drug Administration in San Francisco declared the product a "cure" in the case after he was told to conduct a clinical trial in April 2015 and take the case to the FDA in January 2016.
Rosen told the judge, "We're going to try to get people to admit that they have a serious problem. We're going to try to get them to admit that they're not interested in taking Viagra," he said.
Rosen said the product was a "cure" because there were many other people who would take it.
He said a third person was involved in the case because the third person had been using the product "for a long time."
Rosen said that the product was made by "a different company and was sold on the Internet."
"We're very disappointed in the US court, but we're very disappointed that there is this case on the record, and we're concerned that we should be able to try to get a conviction in the US court," he said.
Rosen said the product was "the same thing that was made by the company that made the Viagra."
